Project 1: Field Visit to a Concrete Construction Site
The project should be developed in groups not exceeding four students. A group shall consist of three to five students. Each group must visit a different site. On July 3, each group will give a short presentation (minimum 10 minutes, maximum 15 minutes) on their field visit.

Due Dates
Group members† and site selection: No later than June 14, 2007, submit at the beginning of the class the names of group members (minimum 3 and maximum 5) and a location map of the site selected.
Final report and presentation: July 3, 2007. Final reports will not be returned. Make copies of the sections of the report you wish to keep. Reports must include an electronic copy of presentation.
Grading
You will be graded on the quality of the report, the quality of the presentation, and your writing and oral skills.

Project 2
- June 11: Structural configuration (including preliminary sizes), construction sequence, material types and loading. project_1-config.svg
- June 18: Shear and bending moment diagram envelopes for slab, and frames.
- June 25: Design of slab and beams
- June 28: Design Columns.
- July 2: Design of footings and final drawings.
- July 5: Summarize quantities, calculate cost and submit final report (reports will not be returned). (No later than 5 p.m.)
